Boero Yachtcoatings at the International Boat Shows 2010

01 December 2010

Boero YachtCoatings has always attempted to have a strong presence at the most important boat shows worldwide. After the SEATEC in Carrara - Italy (10/12 February 2010) and the MIBS in Moscow (15/18 April 2010), Boero also displayed at the Monaco Yacht Show in Montecarlo (22/25 September 2010), International Boat Show in Genoa (2/10 October 2010) , Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in Florida (28 October/1 November 2010), METS in Amsterdam (16/18 November 2010) and in Salon Nautique de Paris in France (4/12 December 2010).

During these exhibitions Boero exhibeted the following products & paint systems:

Two-component Polyester Urethane Topcoat CHALLENGER HT: after extensive research it's formulated with carefully selected materials and a new production technology, allowing it to obtain a high quality finish that is superior to any other two-component linear polyurethane enamel. Challenger HT is formulated to deliver exceptional initial gloss and long-term gloss retention. You can obtain high film build without any problem of running and a wide range of colours as a result of this tintometric system.

Two-component High Solid Polyacrilic Topcoat of the latest technology CHALLENGER HS: it creates a protection barrier on the yacht's surface with a compact, non-yellowing, elastic layer that has a high resistance to marine atmospheric conditions. When using a spray application, this new formulation can polished and repaired. The exceptional technical characteristics define this product's good filling quality and its excellent uniform coverage capacity. Challenger Hi-Solid can offer you a wide colour range: more than 15,000 possible colour combinations with Boero's tintometric system, including metallic, glossy, matt, pearlescent and special effects.

The new two-component epoxy primer DEFENDER is ideal as a primer in bottom paint systems and as an undercoat for the outboard and superstructure. Its unique properties make it possible to over-coat by any Boero antifouling for extended periods of time.

Boero Interior Paint System is certified by RINA for surface materials and floor covering with low flame-spread characteristics and made up of the following products:

* Delta 3000, high quality universal epoxy primer used as an anchoring coat on difficult surfaces such as aluminum, FRP, steel and wood

* Boeroguard, two-component high solid epoxy primer with excellent physical properties of adhesion, elasticity, impact and abrasion resistance

* Polyurethane Top Coat, two-component enamel designed to be used externally, internally in engine rooms etc.

Self-polishing or hard matrix Boero Antifoulings with RINA and LLOYDS certifications:

* Altura 619, long life hard antifouling with a high content of a special copper salt

* Mistral 633, self-polishing antifouling with copper with an organic slime fighting booster

* Corsa 642, hydrophilic extra antifouling ideal for all types of sail or motor boats and for all hull types, including aluminum

As the boat show activity for Boero will close the year 2010 with the upcoming boat show in Paris, Boero would be very pleased to see clients there. Clients can visit their stand to discuss their new products and allow them to give visitors all the latest technical information and recommendations.
