Fireworks displays from Bighi Point and a Barge moored between St Angelo and Bighi Point – Grand Harbour
Firework displays will be held let off from Bighi Point on the following dates and times From Bighi Point : Saturday 31 July 2010 | At 0800 hrs, 1200 hrs and between 2100 hrs and 2200 hrs | | | Sunday 8 August 2010 | At 0800 hrs, 1200 hrs and from 2100 hrs onwards | | | | Monday 9 August 2010 | At 0900 hrs, 1200 hrs, 1830 hrs and from 1930 hrs onwards | | | Tuesday 10 August 2010 | At 0800 hrs, 1045 hrs, 1200 hrs and from 1900 hrs onwards |
Firework displays will also be let off from a barge that shall be moored on Thursday 5th August, 2010 between St Angelo Point and Bighi Point in the following position on the dates and times stated below: LATITUDE (N) | LONGITUDE (E) | | | 35º 53’.645 | 14º 31’.290 |
Sunday 8 August 2010 | between 2100 hrs and 2300 hrs | | | | Monday 9 August 2010 | from 2230 hours onwards |
A wide berth of 200 meters is requested from Bighi Point and from the position of the barge on the days and times as stated above. Navigation within the Grand Harbour is to proceed with caution and slow speed. Mariners are warned to obey any instructions given by Valletta Port Control. Valletta Port Control may issue further information if necessary. Chart affected BA Chart 177.
Positions are referred to WGS 84 Datum.
