Gozo Boating Association (GBA) members confirm and support all actions taken by its committee
16 July 2010

During a meeting held this evening at the Mariblu Guest House in Gozo, The Gozo Boating Association (GBA) updated its members on all developments since their last meeting three weeks ago. All the members expressed satisfaction at the fact that the association's lawyer, Dr Michael Grech, has isolated a number of points in the concession agreement by which the yacht marina in Mgarr, Gozo was passed to private enterprise. This was done notwithstanding the fact that Mgarr is the only harbour in the island of Gozo, and the marina in this harbour is the only place where the people of Gozo can keep their boats.

The members also approved the action being proposed by the lawyer and the association's committee, whereby the points in question in this concession agreement will be explored initially with Transport Malta in an attempt to solve any problems that may exist within this agreement.

The GBA prides itself in keeping all its members fully advised on what is going on, and in fact holds regular and frequent meetings where members are advised of all developments and are invited to submit their views and suggestions. The GBA feels that all input from its members is important and many a time it has found suggestions that are taken up.
