MSA announce new offers on National Nautical Licence at the RMYC.
Malta Sailing Academy are pleased to announce that they are now able to offer National Nautical License training courses. These courses have been authorised by Transport Malta and are a requirement before being allowed to sit for the Nautical Licence oral examination. Courses are of two days duration (16 hours)and include sessions in both theory and practice and are priced at €230. Our Instructors are all trained to the standards of the Royal Yachting Association (UK). Theory sessions will be held at the Royal Malta Yacht Club. Practical (on the water) sessions are held aboard an 18 foot rubber dinghy in and around the Ta'Xbiex area. In order to qualify for the oral examination, candidates must hold a certificate of course completion plus a current First Aid certificate. They are also able to arrange First Aid training with the Malta Red Cross at an additional cost of €30. Please be aware that anyone using a water craft in Malta with an engine of 30hp or above will require a Licence as of 1st Jan 2011. Malta Sailing Academy currently have spaces on the following courses: Course 1. - Carried out over 4 evenings, Wed. 26 and Thursday 27 May, Tuesday 1 and Wed. 2 June. (sessions on each evening are from 1700 until 2100) Course 2. - Wed 9 and Thur 10 Jun (each day 0900 - !7.00) Course 3. - Thurs 17 and Fri 18 Jun.
