Solaris 47 redifines the market standards

Introduced in sneak preview at Düsseldorf boot 2016, Solaris 47 debuts in the world market of cruiser / racers with all the design and seaworthy qualities granted by the 40-year experience of Solaris Yachts in blue water yacht building. In over 40 years of activity the Italian boatyard built and refitted yachts up to 100’ that marked the modern yachting history for their seaworthiness and highest finishing qualities. Solaris Yachts designs and builds today highly valued yachts, matching technology, stiffness and high level finishing, thanks to its staff, technicians and workers, all expert sailors. Solaris 47 was born under this pedigree.
Solaris 47 is the evolution of Solaris 50, awarded by the Jury of International journalists at Düsseldorf boot as European Yacht of the Year 2016 in the Performance Cruiser category, and top seller of the yard since its very beginning.
At Solaris Yachts is in build a new 70’, ready for the next season, two of which are already sold.
Solaris 47 is the first and at the moment the sole boat of her size to offer a bunch of innovative features to handle a high performance sailing yacht with reduced crew.
Self-taking jib recessed rail, only four winches placed close to the helm stations, that the helmsman can easily handle from his seat, full separation between the helm and the guest cockpits, easy accessible dedicated life raft compartment, wide water tight sail store are the essential features of this thoroughbred by Solaris.
Furthermore, Solaris 47 is the only boat of her size featuring a tender garage under the cockpit, to fit a 9’ rib with o/board engine, closed by an easily operating hatch.
The water lines are a developed refinement of the widely and successfully experienced ones of Solaris 50 and confirm the efficiency of Javier Soto Acebal naval architecture.
Distribution of weights and underwater volumes defines a high performance hull even in heavy weather, with high stability factor to hold large sail surface even in fresh winds. All design and building solutions comply to ocean going maxi yachts, where complexity of construction and systems requires a specific know-how.
Solaris 47 benefits of the exclusive construction techniques of Solaris Yachts, the sole in production boats, giving stiffness and monolithic rigidity. All the bulkheads are solidly laminated to the hull and moreover to the deck. All the floor plates and side rails are laminated to the hull with no counter-moulds glued with filler and silicone. All the pieces of furniture are fixed to the hull by grp layers. The chain plates are made with 40 layers of composite materials, grp and unidirectional carbon fibre. The monolithic uninterrupted structure is obtained by using a unique material: grp, that removes since the origin any alteration of the design shape caused by wind on the sails, waves on the hull and the righting effect of the ballast and proofing the boat from deformations and torsions in any sea and wind conditions.

Solaris 47 interior layout is based on a 3 cabins, 2 heads, “owner forward” scheme, with L shaped galley to port and has been studied and checked on a 1:1 scale model to optimize ergonomic and comfort aspect of the interior. The handicraft skill of the workers, the careful choice of veneers, the assembling of all components in the yard guarantee an unparalleled quality standard.
