Singapore Yacht Show Announces Initial List of Exhibitors and Partners

2016 line-up includes gala events, live cooking demonstrations, world premieres and Asian exclusives.

22 January 2016

The world’s most prestigious vessels will sail into ONE°15 Marina Club in Sentosa Cove from 7 - 10 April for the sixth edition of the Singapore Yacht Show (SYS), South East Asia’s premier annual yachting and boating event. The new hub for luxury yachting, Singapore will host thousands of registered attendees, including luxury travellers, yacht enthusiasts, first-time buyers and dealers to view over 100 boats, yachts and superyachts.

Singapore continues to reinforce its position as the ‘Monaco of the East’. Brands and dealers exhibiting this year include local players Azimut Singapore, Hong Seh, Simpson Marine, SG Boating, Multihull Solutions and Supratechnic, as well as international leaders Grand Banks, Gulf Craft, Sunreef, Sunseeker and Princess Yachts.

Superyacht toys and accessories never fail to thrill serious buyers and gadget enthusiasts alike; and this year will see new exhibits and returning favourites on display from Funair, Quadrofoil and U Boat Worx. The Show also welcomes back new and returning superyacht builders, including Amels, Benetti, Feadship, Fincantieri, Heesen Yachts, Lürssen, Silveryachts and Westport.

This year’s exciting events include the highly anticipated Friday evening Gala Dinner, a series of supercar parades, fashion shows and live cooking demonstrations by MasterChef Asia Judge Audra Morris.

A notable addition to this year’s Show will be a Brokerage section, where professional brokers present pre-owned yachts and boats which are either less than five years old, over 40ft in length, or have a minimum value of US$250,000. Additional brands are to be confirmed in the coming weeks.

World Premieres & Asia Debuts

Sunreef Yachts is one of the world’s leading designers and builders of luxury sailing and power catamarans which range from 60 to 200 feet in length. Each custom-made yacht is designed in great detail for the most discerning customers and delivers the best in comfort, style and safety. Sunreef yachts boast high-performance sailing, luxurious accommodation, expansive living spaces, and extravagant and innovative design features. For the first time, Sunreef will showcase a World Premiere Yacht at the Singapore Yacht Show. This exciting new build will be the second-ever world premiere unveiled at SYS.

World-renowned Azimut will be showcasing its new Azimut 66 Fly, making its Asian debut alongside the Azimut Atlantis 43 and Azimut 50 Fly.

Simpson Marine will present a range of vessels from its prestigious portfolio of brands including San Lorenzo, Monte Carlo Yachts, Beneteau and Lagoon. The Lagoon 450 SporTop will be making her Asian premiere and the Monte Carlo 86 will be appearing at the Singapore Yacht Show for the first time. SYS 2016 will see the return of the Lagoon 630, the model on display was purchased at last year’s show before being customised to the owner’s specifications.

Superyachts and Builders

The impressive 43m motoryacht Triple 8, built by Royal Denship in 2009, will be presented for sale by Fraser Yachts. Triple 8 is currently cruising South East Asia, as she makes her way over to Singapore from Australia. Joining the Fraser Yachts line-up is motoryacht Azul A, having recently undergone a major refit, she comfortably accommodates up to eight guests in four cabins, with a crew of six to cater to every possible need. The ideal cruising yacht, her 2.3m draft enables her to reach those beautiful shallow spots inaccessible for some yachts of this size, and her modern stabilisation system allows guests to cruise in ultimate comfort.

Yacht Toys

Toys are often the jewel in the crown of any superyacht, and this year’s show will present an impressive array of the latest yacht accessories and equipment. Long-standing exhibitor Supratechnic will be back with a larger presence than ever, boasting an even greater array of jet skis, amphibious vehicles and outboard engines. Quadrofoil will be making its Asian debut, an eco-friendly Jet Ski raised on four hydrofoils that rapidly slices through water. U Boat Worx, a name synonymous with safety and adventure, will be returning with its C-Explorer 3 personal submarine. A three-person underwater vehicle that can carry passengers to a depth of 1,000m in a fully air-conditioned and spacious interior. Providing an unobstructed 360-degree view under the sea in unparalleled comfort and manoeuvrability, this really is the ultimate toy.
