The President of UCINA Confindustria Nautica Carla Demaria has received a prestigious Judge’s Special Award by the magazine Motorboat & Yachting for her remarkable achievements in the industry with both Monte Carlo Yachts and UCINA, recognizing her ability as one of the best managers in the worldwide marine industry. President and founder of Monte Carlo Yachts, General Manager of Bénéteau, Ms Demaria also sits on the Board of Directors of the Béneteau Group.

The Jury Prize, over the years, has always chosen to recognize this award to a person who has made a fundamental contribution to the marine industry. "We have chosen a person of extraordinary vision that had the courage to launch a brand of luxury boats in the midst of recession, not fearing the challenges. The many awards won by these boats leave no doubts.
After a brilliant career that has seen her build and manage the Italian brand Atlantis, in 2008 she took a new adventure entering the Bénéteau Group, with the aim of creating the new brand Monte Carlo Yachts, established in a new yard near Trieste. She showed the same courage by accepting the position of President of the Board of UCINA, in a period of great changes for the Italian Association. We consider Carla Demaria a true force of nature."

The organizers managed to hide the award until the end; the presentation of the Judge’s Special Award was a real surprise to Carla Demaria: "I'm really moved - she said - for this recognition that comes in a unique and important part of my life. I thank Ms Annette Roux for the trust she has always granted to me and that allowed us to achieve these results. I consider it also a recognition to the Made in Italy of which I feel protagonist and ambassador around the world."
