28 January 2015

Antibes 29th Jan 2015, following a sensational year of growth in 2014, the Directors of bluewater have promoted Sarah Corn to the newly created position of Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Sarah has played a fundimental role in the development of bluewater Crew & Training over the past ten years, having joined the company in 2004. Starting as a training cooridinator, she was rapidly promoted to Training Department & Office Manager in the Antibes head office. This new position has been created to give her full responsibility of all Training and Crew department operations, including logistics and profitability.

Bluewater's increasing focus on sustainable growth through innovation has lead us to a complete corporate restructure. Having become the largest dedicated yacht crew training provider and the most most prolific crew agency, staffing levels in Crew and Training alone have nearly quadroupled in the past 5 years as have our number of products, courses and services.

The task of managing this complex logistical operation requires special skills. We expect the new COO to help take the company to a new level of accomplishment. With unrivalled in-depth knowledge of the technical and legal requirements in the world of professional yacht crew and of our company's internal procedures, Sarah is uniquely qualified to take up this challenge. By introducing the new position of COO, we now have a focussed resource comitted to offering consistant quality to our customers.

John Wyborn, Director of bluewater,"Sarah's appointment represents a radical new development in the operation of the company. We have now grown to the point where we need a specialist manager to take control of day to day operations. This will free the directors of Bluewater to focus on their vision of making the Crew and Training department a significant player not only in the superyacht industry but in the wider field of commercial shipping."
