Gill appoints Nick Powell as Marketing Director

Gill, the technical sailing apparel brand is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Powell as their new Marketing Director.
John Deverill, Managing Director Gill, said: "I'm very pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Powell as our new Marketing Director. Nick has worked for a number of marine brands in Europe and the US and has extensive brand development experience. We are excited by the opportunity to strengthen the management team as we continue to invest in the brand and increase our international market share."

Nick will be joining the Nottingham based management team in January 2015. He has previously worked as Marketing Director Brunswick EMEA, working on Quicksilver, Uttern, Sealine, Hatteras, Arvor and Valiant marine brands. Nick has recently worked in the luxury outdoor furniture market where he was Brand Director for Gloster Furniture. Gill is a very rare thing these days, a company that only does one thing. Gill was founded in 1975 and today the company has revenues of £12m and employs 44 people at its Long Eaton site. It manufactures a wide range of sailing clothing and accessories which it exports to over 35 countries and it is the official technical clothing sponsor for the internationally renowned Aberdeen Asset Management Cowes Week Regatta. Recently Gill won the Queen's Award for Industry: International Trade with exports reaching over 70% of turnover.
